St Mary Magdalene had seven devils cast out of her by Jesus. She was a strong follower of Christ even to the point of standing by his cross at the crucifixion and brought spices to anoint his body at the tomb. Mary Magdalene was the first person Christ appeared to on Easter morning. She was also known as “the woman who was a sinner”.
Prayer St Mary Magdalene
Almighty God,
We thank you for the influence of
and conversion of St Mary Magdalene’s life,
the woman who you appeared to first
after your Resurrection.
May we too, especially in this Lenten season,
turn away from sin, and focus on you.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord Amen
