Today is the 4th Sunday of Lent, Laetare Sunday, it’s also a day of celebratrion for Mothers, know as Mothering Sunday. Our prayer today is dedicated to all mothers on this special day.
Dear Lord,
We give thanks to all our mothers,
for the care and love they show,
and their generous hearts that open to us time and time again.
May we be inspired by each of them,
and learn from them daily keeping them always close to our hearts.
We thank you Lord for this vocation of Motherhood
And the beauty that it brings.
We ask Mary, the mother of all, to pray with us as we say:
Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amoungst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
