St Mel was supposedly British and travelled to Ireland with St Patrick. He was well known for evangelisation in Ardagh where he was ordained and became Bishop. He is one of the earliest of the Irish Saints.

the missionary work of
St Mel and his work in Ireland.
We pray for all those who continue to
work to spread the Gospel message and
bring Christ to all peoples.
