St Angela was born in Desenzano, which is near to Lake Garda. She became a Franciscan and devoted her life to helping educate girls from poor families. She was the founder of the Ursulines.

Almighty God,
as we contemplate on St Angela,
we give thanks for her mission
of educating girls from poor families.
We pray for the work that the Ursulines
continue to carry out in education.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
